Ca'n Verdura Viticultors Supernova Negre 2023
The red 2023 Supernova Mantonegro is selected exclusively from head-pruned vineyards on the red clay and limestone soils called call vermell, 12 different plots ranging between 35 and 80 years of age fermented separately, trying to preserve the freshness. It matured in 500-liter barrels and 2,000- and 3,000-liter troncoconic oak vats for eight months. It's a serious and powerful Mediterranean red with 14.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.7, with a fine thread, chalky and dry, with abundant, slightly dusty tannins that call for food. 18,000 bottles and 1,000 magnums were produced in May 2024.
