Domaine d'Eugénie Vosne Romanee 2022
The 2022 Vosne-Romanée Village, the only blend amongst the range, raised in 30% new oak with 30% whole bunches on the older vines. The stem addition is quite prominent on the nose, lending a pleasant black pepper aroma that combines well with the dark red plummy fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannins. There is a strictness about this Vosne-Romanée, quite tensile, though it needs a little more flesh to develop on the finish at the moment. A second sample a month later has a little more salinity on the finish.
